How Does A Fuel Injector Work?

Trev June 26, 2021 Auto Comments are off

The concept of a fuel injector is very simple, it is a pump which is usually housed in the engine’s intake manifold and it controls the amount of air-fuel mixture that flows into the combustion chamber where the burning of fuel occurs. This is the main purpose of the fuel injector. An injector is responsible for mixing the air with fuel and the air fuel mixture has a high boiling point and can withstand very high pressure. This way the fuel mixture will be ignited and burned very fast resulting in a very fast response from the engine. If you want to increase the fuel economy of your car, you should consider having a fuel injector.

There are a lot of benefits that you can get from having a fuel injector in your car. First, it increases the fuel economy of your car as it allows more fuel to be burned at lower pressure and less energy will be required to do so. Moreover, it also allows your engine to run smoother since there is less wear and tear to your engine. This results in an extended drive life, fewer repairs, and overall better performance from your car. Another benefit is that if you have a low restriction fuel injector, you can experience quicker throttle response. Lastly, having a fuel injector installed in your car means that you can avoid the costly cost of changing fuel filters. For Fluid Power, consider Dana Sac
