I must say that if it wasn’t for the amazing decline of visitors registered over the past few months, I would have never come up with the idea to see if the sites that link from the homepage they did the same with me.
It was a while that I would suspect some link exchange detrimental but with too much I didn’t want to lose time to do so and instead of sifting through all my blog friends and I notice that in a year and a half since the last one has passed control of water under the bridge…
This phrase is not random … understand that the clock is ticking and the projects come to an end; I found more than three sites that reported the notorious and sad words “…. com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this blog. “.
Practically well sites and blogs started with 3 and even 4 of page rank were removed by the same authors fed up with writing or because they did not have more time to continue.
The problem is for the link that you should find a few penalties (according to me, others do not); for example, I saw that the last update dated back to 2009.
In my opinion it would be useful to those who make this gesture that go from friends to give the sad announcement so what to do remove the links, but I understand that often the decision is sudden or hopefully sooner or later will resume.
There would also be to remember the various agreements, most skilled webmasters asking for a link to their sites in Exchange for a link from their site; also this happens and you have to keep it in mind if you are likely to make bad figure, removing the link that you shouldn’t (happened to me for a site, I got there and I could not find my link then after sending the email of explanation I waited and the answer was granted “because you link from this other site”).
There are also cases of trade link with rogue bloggers who keep your link for one to two weeks and then inexplicably removed the camping a thousand apologies (in the past I often happened to go for a ride and find the surprise …).
The classic system I have found was to link to the website of a friend from his homepage and he in return does not equal but swapping from a subpage (I also have the special page but I put just the friend’s sites that reciprocate with the same currency…).
Most sites that link are out of date, and when I write so it doesn’t mean one-two months but even years!
At this point that you do? Expect that sooner or later the blogger friend resuscitates? So I far I always waited but I know that if I do not receive a timely response there off.
One case that can happen is to make link exchange with a site that talks about the same interests and then point blank change arguments (and this can happen for various reasons, this was my first sporting theme and then I opened the other blogs with only sport because I realized that many readers will read a theme that disliked or even worse if they weren’t inter).
Finally we must be careful not to link to sites or blogs or will be penalized as spammers.
