With medical breakthroughs in the form of vaccinations coming through thick and fast now, people are breathing a sigh of relief not only is it great to hear some good news after so many months of sad news and frightening looking statistics, but looking forward to a return to normality is something to cling onto as we bid farewell to 2020 and look forward to welcoming in 2021.
Something that many people are looking forward to is the return to watching their favourite sports. For months now, crowds of spectators have been banned completely or in some cases restricted in capacity from watching sports, and one of the reasons people enjoy going to sporting events is the fantastic atmosphere in the crowd.
As well as the crowds, the staff and sports players too will look forward to getting back to normality – from the barman at the bar to people like OMS who provide event medical cover, there are many people who also see the return of sports as a return to work too!
One of the last sporting events to happen in March before the country was plunged into lockdown was the famous Cheltenham festival. This horse racing event attracts many people from all over the country and further afield as it is one of the most loved events on the horse racing calendar to see.
Many fingers are crossed that it will go ahead this year, but even if it does not, normality now is not too far away.
