Before winter comes check the central heating is in good working order and that radiators are heating up, and hot water is reliable. Make sure also that smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are working. If any repairs need to be done it is best to do it now before the winter sets in. Make sure that you use a qualified professional like Boiler Repair Belfast based company, Belfast-Gas.

Hot food and drinks are important and if the person is not able to make much for themselves, you can use a meal delivery service to provide warm winter foods. Things like Cup a Soup and hot chocolate are also good to keep in ready for winter to keep warmth throughout the day.

Circulation is important for keeping warm so look for exercises that can be done even sitting down. There are some basic exercises that can encourage good healthy circulation. Moving around, particularly in extremities like hands and feet is crucial for warmth.
