Five reasons to choose e-training for your staff training method

Training your staff is a key responsibility for all business owners. In addition to legislative requirements in certain industry sectors, there is a lot of evidence that a well-trained team is more productive and that the members work better together.

According to the Association of Accounting Technicians, you need to invest in training if you want to retain your staff and also to ensure that you are compliant with any regulations that are specific to your business area. An Essex Asbestos Removal for example will have to comply with regulations surrounding the safe removal and disposal of asbestos and their staff will be trained in these procedures.

With so many different types of training available, how do you decide which will work best for your organisation? What about e-training? This is becoming a very popular type of training, as most companies and individuals have easy, cost-effective access to the internet, but what are the benefits?

Accessibility

E-training is easily accessible, twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week. Unlike classroom training, it means that individuals can take the training at their preferred time.

Improved training methods

With advancements in technology, the methods of training available within e-learning are more extensive than other types of training. The ability to add e-learning games, for example, stimulates the learner and facilitates checkpoints to ensure that the information has been absorbed before they move on to the next steps. These games also make the training much more enjoyable; in turn, this improves how much knowledge people absorb and retain.

Cost effective and ecologically friendly

This is probably one of the most cost-effective and ecologically-friendly types of training. Your staff don’t need to travel to train, and you don’t need to hire a trainer, a room or equipment. As the training is online, you will also cut down on hard copy documentation.

Make the world a smaller place

Easily accessed anywhere in the world, e-training enables your entire staff to benefit from training whatever their geography.

Current and up to date

E-training is probably the most current and up-to-date type of training available; therefore, it will really appeal to the millennials in your organisation, who are used to doing most things using technology. They are also more socially aware and are likely to be as interested in the personal development they receive from an employer as they are in the salary.
