Although some people have had their holiday plans dashed for this year, for others there is still a glimmer of hope that we may be able to get on that holiday after all – and after all of this it will certainly feel like the best holiday ever! As the cases begin to slow across Europe, many resorts are opening their doors once again for the all-important summer season. But a few things may be a little different this year, and although we are away on holiday, we must still have safety in mind this year when travelling.
One good way to add an extra layer of safety is a mask. Some airlines are advising that a mask is worn, so make sure that you have one with you. You can make your own or purchase one such as an R Shield scarf for use whilst you are on the plane or out and about on holiday.
When you get to your destination remember to bear in mind that you will still need to wash your hands regularly and keep things clean to reduce chances of infection. Take care when eating out and particularly after you use public toilets wash your hands straight away and don’t touch your face.
Wherever possible try to keep your distance as the virus can spread in the water droplets that come from the mouth. Even when someone is talking, they can spread the virus via droplets, so keep your distance as best you can from other people.
